The hood also covers the plug latch, keeping the delicate part from snagging on other cables while still allowing it to operate effectively. It measures 27.7 mm long by 14.8 mm deep. Simply snap onto your plug before installation for a neater and more robust set-up when connecting computers to an Ethernet-based local area network (LAN). The registered jack (RJ) connector hood will accept standard 4-pair UTP and STP (unshielded and shielded) twisted-pair cables for LAN networks. Its compatible with multi-port socket harmonica blocks.
