The plug housing is made from a rugged glass-filled thermoplastic which is impact resistant and able to withstand high temperatures of up to 220°C. The pins on this male connector have a flat design and are polarised to ensure an accurate connection. The colour coded housing has the thermocouple type clearly indicated on the front for easy identification. What is a Thermocouple Connector?. Thermocouple connectors are an accurate and convenient way of interconnecting your temperature sensing components. Using these connectors allows a chain to be formed from the measuring tip of your temperature sensor to the host computer or meter. It is important that all the components in the chain are made from the same thermocouple material to prevent any alteration or distortion of the original signal.
