This device links your PC to a 10-pin header connected to your FPGA and will allow you to send configuration data from your PC to the FPGA during prototyping or to program data into the system during production. Altera ‘s USB blaster needs to be used from a PC with either; Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 or 10. Linux is also an option with support for all Linux systems..
