The DIGITUS® 4K HDMI® Extender Set not only transmits brilliant 4K video signals via a network cable: it also forwards USB, audio and remote control signals through the network cable. For example, you can use the receiver to operate a PC or notebook located near the transmitter. There is also an additional USB 2.0 interface on the front side which you can use to connect other peripheral devices such as USB storage media. The transmitter and receiver units can be positioned in different rooms up to 100 m apart, or via a local network infrastructure without any limit (switch). A network cable of at least Category 5e is required (CAT5e, upward compatible). The DIGITUS® Extender Set offers additional KVM functionality for a special feature that can be used for a variety of applications. Control signals from the RS232 interface are also forwarded.
