FTDI Chip USB To UART CableThe FTDI chip USB to UART cable is a fast and simple way to connect devices with a TTL level serial interface to USB. It is available with TTL logic level of 3.3V. Each cable contains a small internal electronic circuit board, utilising the FT232R, encapsulated into the USB connector at the end of the cable. The cable has a gauge of 24AWG and diameter of 5mm. They are un-terminated, bare and tinned wires. The circuit is powered from the USB using 5V power pins and any VCC connection, always at 5VDC.
