Applications. PVA is commonly used in the production of paper, adhesives, dissolvable packagings such as those seen in single-use detergent capsules, printing, eye drops, and textiles. In 3D printing, it is often used as a support material for intricate printing. Print Surface Materials. Some bed surfaces may need extra help in maintaining good adhesion. Use of washable surface treatment such as 3DLAC or PVA filament dissolved in a little water and applied to the bed before printing can improve the situation drastically. Always degrease the print surface before each print. Advice. ;ul> ;li>Do not keep the filament idle in the nozzle at 180°C or over for more than 5 minutes as it will hydrolyse in the nozzle and therefore block the nozzle. ;/li> ;li>Must be kept in a sealed bag or container witch active desiccant when not in use ;/li> ;li>Dry PVA filament before each use ;/li> ;/ul>.
